·

After the historic charm of Boston, the next leg of our journey brings another major highlight: the iconic Niagara Falls – and just beyond, an international detour to the vibrant, cosmopolitan city of Toronto. This stretch blends natural wonders, Great Lakes, and Canadian city flair into one unforgettable road trip chapter.

Leg 2 of 11: Overview

The direct route from Boston to Niagara Falls covers roughly 750 km (about 465 miles), with Toronto sitting another 130 km (80 miles) to the west. But as every seasoned road tripper knows: it’s not about the fastest route – it’s about the most scenic and rewarding one.

Our version winds through often-overlooked gems like Albany, Syracuse, and Buffalo, with stops in peaceful state parks, quirky small towns, and of course, at the breathtaking waterfalls themselves. Altogether, we logged around 900 km (560 miles) over 3 to 5 days – giving us time to explore, marvel, and soak in the journey.
